Every summer a select number of Pratt Institute students are chosen to design the Barnes & Noble Back to Campus collection. As one of the students selected to design the 2015 collection, I presented 3 concepts. We worked in a studio environment under team leader Professor Tom Dolle where each student pitched and refined their ideas. During this project I explored materials and production techniques, created professional comps and made presentations to the B&N team.
Large patterns are sure to make a statement. This collection is about big and bold elements. On the cloth products, the exclusively created patterns allow for discreet pockets where they are needed the most, allowing them to be functional as a part of the design.
